Erik was raised in the Portland area, earned a Forestry degree from Oregon State University, and worked at a production brewing facility in Newport, Oregon prior to joining NWESI in 2012. With a diverse set of skills and the ability to learn quickly, Erik has assisted with nearly every service offered by NWESI during his time here. Primarily a member of the Commissioning team, Erik has refined his skill in mechanical systems commissioning and understands the importance of effective building operating systems. Experience at NWESI has provided Erik with the necessary skills to take on more responsibility and leadership in the projects he is involved with. Erik’s appreciation for photography has allowed him to develop a symbiotic relationship with NWESI’s marketing team. When not working, Erik and his wife are likely to be experiencing the joy (or anguish) of parenting their daughter and son – hopefully while exploring the outdoors, taking pictures, and providing some attention to the dog. Erik still enjoys playing water polo, brewing beer, mountain biking and snowboarding when he can find the time for it.
