NWESI meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism throughout its business practices.
We protect the environment by conserving energy, recycling, and incorporating environmentally friendly technologies and products as part of our regular work environment. We support sustainability by working with regional waste management agencies to follow prescribed guidelines. NWESI and its division, Air Introduction and Regulation, are proud to have received awards from both Washington County and Lane County, certifying our sustainable business practices.
WE CARE ABOUT DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
NWESI fully supports Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. We are committed to an Affirmative Action Plan designed to recruit, hire, promote, and retain qualified minorities, including women and individuals with disabilities (IWDs). As an employee-owned company, NWESI prides itself on the diversity of its employees
WE WANT TO WORK WITH YOU
NWESI actively seeks business partners that are certified through Oregon’s Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity (COBID), Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprise (OMWBE), or with similar certifications in other States, Counties, or Municipalities. We also participate in regional organizations that promote diversity and inclusion.
WE ENCOURAGE GOOD HEALTH AND WELL BEING
We recognize that two of the most important components of people’s lives are physical health and emotional well-being. NWESI is dedicated to ensuring all employees are safe throughout the workday, every week, every month, and every year. We offer substantial benefits to employees and their family members’ health to support this. We encourage physical activity outside of work by offering incentives to our employees’ preferred charities for events involving walking, running, and others. An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is purchased for each employee by NWESI through Pacific NW Consulting Engineers Health & Welfare Trust (PNCE). EAP offers a number of services to employees, including discounted gym memberships and personal wellness activities.
WE GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITIES
We encourage employees to give back to their communities by donating their time and talents to charities important to their families and neighborhoods, and effecting positive change at a local level. Examples of this are sponsoring employee participation in physical activity centered fundraisers, such as “Walks” for a cause, and donating to charities that our employees champion. We further support a myriad of educational programs—especially those that prepare youth for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers—and are invested in those serving minorities and underprivileged communities.
Committed to our Communities
Everyday, our team is in the community, working on projects for the future, testing facilities for a better now, or assessing older facilities and ensuring their longevity. Throughout our years working in these environments, we’ve become deeply invested in the people of these places, and the vulnerabilities that can affect us all.
We’re committed to donating three percent of our yearly profits to organizations our employees choose during our annual surveys (a portion of which is also used for our employee-donation match program). As an employee-owned firm, we want to contribute to organizations that affect change at our local level, as well as with larger organizations. It’s our hope that we can continue to strengthen and support each other through compassion and teamwork.
Where We Donate
Oregon Food Bank
To eliminate hunger and its root causes… because no one should be hungry.
NWESI donated to this organization in the hope that we could help alleviate food insecurity for those in Oregon, particularly as many people in our communities have recently faced natural disasters.

Boise Rescue Mission
Since 1958, The Boise Rescue Mission has served individuals in need in the Treasure Valley.

Team Rubicon’s mission is providing relief to those affected by disaster, no matter when or where they strike.
