Corporate Responsibility

NWESI meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism through its business practices.

Environmental Sustainability

NWESI is committed to protecting the environment by conserving energy, recycling, and incorporating environmentally friendly technologies and products in our work environment. We support sustainability by working with regional waste management agencies who support sustainability as part of their every day operations. NWESI and its subsidiary, Air Introduction and Regulation, are proud to have received awards from both Washington County and Lane County, certifying our sustainable business practices.

WE CARE ABOUT DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

NWESI fully supports Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. We are committed to an Affirmative Action Plan designed to recruit, hire, promote, and retain qualified minorities, including women and individuals with disabilities (IWDs). As an employee-owned company, NWESI prides itself on the diversity of its employees.

WE WANT TO WORK WITH YOU

NWESI actively seeks business partners that are certified through Oregon’s Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity (COBID), Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprise (OMWBE), or with similar certifications in other States, Counties, or Municipalities such as Minority-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business (MWESB), and Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (SDVBE). We also participate in regional organizations that promote diversity and inclusion such as Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME), Women in Commercial Real Estate (CREW), BestHQ, and De La Salle North.

WE ENCOURAGE HEALTH AND WELL BEING

We recognize two of the most important components of people’s lives are physical health and emotional well-being. NWESI is dedicated to ensuring all employees are safe throughout the workday, every week, every month, and every year. We offer substantial benefits to employees and their family members’ health to support this. We encourage physical activity outside of work by offering incentives to our employees’ preferred charities for events involving walking, running, and others. An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is purchased for each employee by NWESI through Pacific NW Consulting Engineers Health & Welfare Trust (PNCE). EAP offers a number of services to employees, including discounted gym memberships and personal wellness activities.

WE GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITIES

We encourage employees to give back to their communities by donating their time and talents to charities important to their families and neighborhoods. Examples of this are sponsoring employee participation in physical activity fundraisers, IncentFit rewards, and company-match donations. We further support a myriad of educational programs—especially those that prepare youth for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers—and are invested in those serving minorities and underprivileged communities.

Every year, we donate 3% of yearly profits to organizations our employees choose. We contribute to organizations that affect change at a local level, as well as with larger organizations. It’s our hope we can continue to strengthen and support each other through compassion and teamwork.
