Peacehealth University District

NWESI’s dust monitoring and mitigation plan was enacted to reduce the number of airborne particles at the demolition project site. As part of PeaceHealth’s two phase redevelopment of the University District, several buildings of approximately 330,000 SF, were removed to make room for the new facilities.

The Mitigation Plan was developed in collaboration with management and infection control personnel, the general contractor, owner’s representative, and other stakeholders. The intention of the dust monitoring plan is to ensure that the dust generated on a project site minimizes the detrimental affect to neighboring communities and vulnerable occupants.

NWESI’s scope of work included: evaluating the building envelope, HVAC filtration performance and building pressure control to help minimize the risk of airborne particles to the general public, staff, and patients.
