Kyle joined NWESI in January 2023 as an Assistant Technician. Prior to joining NWESI, Kyle worked in the hospitality industry as an Executive Chef, running kitchens across the country, before settling in the Pacific Northwest to open a restaurant. During the pandemic, he closed his restaurant and chose a different path attending the Oregon Institute of Technology to finish his degree and shifting industries. He has since hung up his apron and traded his knife for a multi-meter and pitot tube. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and sharing food with friends, and can be found tinkering with various fermentation experiments in his personal test kitchen, or spending time in the garden, or riding bikes.
